Over the years Jemima has been very fortunate to have had some lovely horses to compete and help her on her journey. Each and every-one having been incredibly vital in doing their part and giving Jemima the legs that she needed.

Current horses

Fantabulous

‘Fanta’ is a 2018 gelding by Foundation. Jemima got Fanta when he was 4 years old as he showed great promise and has the most superb temperament. Jemima’s trainer Anna Miller competed Fanta as a 5 year old giving him a great education as well as training Jemima on him, as for para classes the horses have to be 6 years old to compete. Jemima and Fanta have just started their competition season together and are looking forward to their partnership growing and aiming for major championships.

Foxy Donna

Having only arrived in December 2023 ‘Foxy’ is very new to the team. She is a 2016 mare by Furst William. She is showing an extremely cheeky personality just like Fanta and has a brilliant walk and trot. We are going to take the time to build a partnership and getting her out on the circuit when we are ready as she shows all the quality and attributes.

Previous Horses

Day and Night was very kindly offered to Jemima by his owner Jane Howard and trainer Anna Miller. Oakey was such fun horse to ride and Anna taught Jemima how to canter again on him which is something that was always a big goal.

Danity was such a power house and sadly they didn’t get enough time together. She walked for a 10 and Anna gave Jemima the confidence that she could ride this horse. Her medium trot was so powerful that on occasions Jemima’s velcro straps could pop open. She is happily retired with Jemima at home where she can enjoy being pampered.

Elrite was a very special horse for Jemima as they started their time together eventing. Jemima bought Echo when she was 4 years old but Echo was never keen on cross country. After Jemima’s accident she was determined to ride Echo again. Jemima is so proud to have managed that dream and successfully competed Echo at international 3* level.

Blue Chip Forever was the first horse Jemima competed in para dressage. He was a fabulous schoolmaster who Jemima could trust in the ring. They had a hugely successfull time together gaining a Lot of experience and giving Jemima a real taste of being back In a competition environment. Jools is now retired with Jemima’s old eventer Ebony and is still full of his cheeky ways.

Bubbles was a major stepping stone for Jemima coming off from an RDA pony to her. Jemima wasn’t ready for a horse at this point but needed something a bit more established. Bubbles was a wonderful pony that Jemima managed to steadily get round a couple of silver classes. Jemima and Bubbles had a wonderful bond and helped Jemima a lot. Bubbles is now back with her previous owner Claire who is very supportive of Jemima.

Someone who played a major part in getting Jemima to where she is now is the wonderful RDA pony Pandora under the guidance of Sarah Harris. The endless patient days of walking round the arena being led, with people all around her just incase Jemima lost her balance.
